"Into the Flames" – fire fighter commissioned piece

This piece was a commission from a coworker who was very technically oriented. He was designing my first website and in turn I was painting “Into the Flames” for him. It was his photo and I believe he is one of the fire fighters. In the end we were both thrilled with our trade.

At the time I painted “Into the Flames” I was pushing myself to be as creative as I could be. I didn't want the commission to be an exact replica of the photograph. I have found that with my journey in art, as well as in life, that stepping stones seem to appear when you least expect them.
